Terms and Conditions

Shoppers on this site are asked to read and acknowledge these terms and conditions. They are designed to clarify the way we operate and do not affect your statutory rights under the Sale of Goods acts.

Our overall objective is to be 'Fair, Reasonable and Honest'. We believe that with goodwill, almost anything can be resolved to a reasonably satisfactory conclusion. Our number one 'trading guideline' is

'3E is exclusively dedicated to meeting your needs with quality products and service!'

If for any reason we fall short of this, tell us!

• Currency: All prices on this site are quoted in pounds sterling. Payments must be made in pounds sterling (credit cards sales will be charged in the local billing currency by the credit card provider). A currency converter is provided as a guide to check the approximate exchange rate before finalising the order. The actual rate charged will be dependent upon the credit card issuer.

• Value Added Tax (VAT): Prices shown are exclusive of VAT which will be charged on all sales to residents of the EU making personal purchases. If a valid EU VAT Registration number is provided at the time of ordering, goods will be charged and shipped to EU VAT registered business at Zero rated VAT. Purchases made by customers outside the EU, for delivery outside the EU will not include VAT. The final payment amount shown on the payments page is inclusive of any UK tax due, including VAT (where applicable), shipping charges and taxes thereon: it is the final amount that will be charged.

• Duties & Local Taxes: Purchasers are responsible for any duties and/or taxes levied at the point of entry into the destination country. A commercial invoice is provided with all goods shipped.

• Shipping/Carriage: The final price quoted on the payments page (Worldpay Secure Server Page) is the price of the goods including delivery to the stated destination. These charges include carriage by UK Royal Mail, UK road courier or international air courier, selected based on most economical routing, to both home and overseas destinations. Using this system, most European deliveries will be made within five to six days, US and Canada within six to seven days and other areas in three to fourteen days. Please contact us if a special delivery service is required, prices for which will be quoted upon request. We reserve the right to select alternative carriers entirely at our own discretion, as appropriate to the particular delivery circumstances.

• Damage & Loss in Transit: Sometimes, unfortunately, things are lost or damaged in transit. If this happens with your shipment, please advise us and we will supply replacement goods as quickly as we can. However, since we never knowingly ship damaged goods we need your help to try to recover our costs from the carrier wherever possible. If damaged goods are received, please retain all relevant documentation so that an insurance claim can be made against the carriers insurers. If the parcel is damaged, note the fact on the delivery note, even before the package is opened to examine the contents. If the damaged package is unable to be opened in the presence of the carrier, make sure it is signed for as 'Damaged package; goods not yet inspected' or similar to warn the carrier that a claim may be forthcoming. Whatever the circumstances, please contact us by email, telephone or by writing to 3E Limited, BMS House, Wantz Road, Dagenham, Essex, RM10 8PS, with as much detail of the damage or loss as you can provide, as soon after delivery as possible, so that we can arrange replacement goods and start following up the carriers. Please note, all damaged goods must be returned to the above address. For returns within the UK, we recommend one of the Royal Mail's premium services, such as recorded delivery. For all other countries, we recommend a premium carrier service, such as recorded delivery.

• Payments: We accept payment by a variety of means but recommend, for maximum security, that the option to pay through our WorldPay secure transaction server. This method assures you of security and confidentiality. We do not see your credit card information using this method, simply a notification that the amount has been debited - or not. This system is more secure than any telephone, fax or mail system ever could be and probably more secure than most face-to-face transactions you make. The cost of this system is entirely borne by us, in the interests of maintaining your confidentiality and security. Other payment methods are available and we will always keep your information confidential, but we do provide the secure service through World Pay as a convenience for you. We can take payment from most major credit cards. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Solo and JCB.

• Acceptance of your Order: All orders placed through the site are subject to acceptance. While we will of course make every attempt to accept the order, there are a number of reasons out of our control, which may cause the order to be rejected. There must be sufficient funds on the credit/debit card. If the order is rejected, we will need details for another card before we can proceed with the order. The card and card billing details must match those given when ordering, as these are checked and if they differ, the order will be rejected.

• Warranties/Guarantees: In addition to the provisions of UK Consumer Protection legislation, we will honour the full manufacturer's warranty on any product or service we supply. Furthermore, we will replace any goods we consider un-merchantable, regardless of the manufacturer's position, and fight the warranty claim on your behalf.

• Quality of Goods/Fitness for Purpose: The goods we supply are original manufacturers stock (except if specifically stated otherwise) suitable for the purposes described on this website and in the manufacturers literature (if any), provided that the equipment/goods is used in accordance with any instructions supplied and in accordance with good and normal practice. Goods, which fail in normal operational use, will be subject of a warranty claim.

• Returns, Refunds and Cancellation: If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase it may be returned for a full refund within 14 days. Please send returned products to 3E Limited, BMS House, Wantz Road, Dagenham, Essex, RM10 8PS, noting that any returned products remain the responsibility of the purchaser until received by us. For returns within the UK, we recommend you use one of the Royal Mail's premium services, such as recorded delivery. For all other countries, we recommend a premium carrier service, such as recorded delivery. UK clients are advised that there is an EU Directive on Distance Selling as incorporated into UK law by The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. This requires the provision of a consumers right to cancel a contract, without giving reason, within seven days of receipt of goods. We aim to be more reasonable than is required by the terms of this Act but we are required to point out that this is your minimum legal right. Please be aware that this Act requires that goods be returned in merchantable condition. If we receive the item within 14 days of delivery, you will be refunded in full for the products returned, but not the cost of returning the item or the cost of the original carriage charged and in some cases a restocking fee of no more than 5% of the original price charged at the time of purchase. All refunds are processed by our Support Centre. All funds are returned to the card that was used to pay for the order, and can take up to 10 days to appear on the account. This is mostly due to the speed at which the card issuer processes refunds. For those customers who have paid by cheque the funds will be refunded by cheque, which will normally be despatched within 5 working days from receipt of the returned goods.

• Payment & Retention of Title: Under normal circumstances, goods must be paid for before dispatch. If, for any reason, goods are shipped prior to clearance of payments, title in the goods shipped remains with 3E Limited until payment in full for the goods is received by us. Please note that on-line transactions are normally actioned immediately whilst you are on-line to the secure transaction server.

• Goods Not Available For Shipment: With the best will in the world, some goods may not be in stock at the time you place your order. In the event that we cannot ship your goods within forty-eight hours of receipt of your order, we will contact you to advise the actual situation (provided that contact information has been provided) and take instructions from you on how you would prefer us to proceed.

• Confidentiality (Privacy): We are registered under the UK Data Protection Act. Information is collected on this website only during the order placement process and solely for the purpose of allowing us to complete the supply of the requested goods and to keep you informed of the progress of your order and of developments on the site. We undertake to exercise all reasonable precautions to keep information supplied to us by customers strictly confidential. We do not supply our 'mailing information' to third parties but do use it to advise our clients of goods and services provided by this organisation and which we feel may be of interest to them, unless expressly instructed otherwise in writing, which you may do by using this link. Information supplied to us may be stored on a computer system for our convenience, but will not be supplied to any outside agency. We prefer you to use the secure transaction services to make credit card transactions since this service is completely independent of our organisation and your credit card details are not divulged to us at any time. If you have any queries regarding our privacy policy or procedures, please use this link to contact us. Please note that our basket system uses a 'cookie' stored temporarily on your machine to retain the basket content: when you leave the store by the normal exit route, this cookie is erased. You are also given the option to retain your client details in a cookie, again on your own machine and at your own discretion, to eliminate the need to re-enter these details if you purchase from our store again at a later date.

• Complaints Procedure: In the event of our goods or service failing to meet acceptable standards and you wish to raise any other queries under any of the paragraphs above, or indeed for any other reason. We request that you do so initially by email or by writing to 3E Limited, Customer Services, BMS House, Wantz Road, Dagenham, Essex, RM10 8PS, in the interest of expediting the procedure. We aim to respond within 24 hours from receiving the correspondence, excluding weekends/holidays where we aim to respond on the next working day.
